Clint Cortney who wore coke bottle glasses behind his catcher's mask and was nicknamed Scrap Iron because of his toughness. Bobby Young played second base for one year and was from Granite, MD. Jehosie "Jay" Heard, first African American Oriole who was 34 in this photo but had been a star left handed pitcher in the Negro Leagues. |
