|Professor Horn's Punch & Judy Shows|
|Mark Walker is an accomplished magician, master puppeteer and author who performs the oldest Punch show in the United States, started by Edward Ross in 1897 in Baltimore. Walker first saw the show in the early sixties with George Horn performing. Horn then trained Mark, who took it over in 1987 and has been doing it since.|
Thus, since 1897, the show has had continuous performances in Baltimore, Maryland and throughout the Mid-Atlantic region. As a way of paying homage to George Horn and to continue this tradition, Mr Walker performs under the Horn banner.
All Punch & Judy 20-minute performances begin and end with merry tunes from a hand-cranked, organ- grinder's music box.
Mark Walker is a protege of George Goebel's (a master of magic and stage craft) and was personal friend of Doug Henning. Henning is included in Mark Walker's renowned
1983 book 'THE MASTER ILLUSIONISTS' (see below)
